We believe that all children are
adoptable. Although there are still guidelines
agencies follow to evaluate a prospective family's
(or person's) eligibility to adopt, many of the
traditional requirements associated with adoption
such as minimum salary standards (which were set
high), home ownership, marital status, physical
handicaps, sexual preference, (to name a few ) no
longer apply.
It is our belief that what constitutes a
family is a stable home environment, lots of room in
your heart, the desire to share in the joy a child
can bring into your life, and an open mind to learn
the skills necessary to nurture the adopted child.
The goal should be twofold: To meet the
child's needs and best interests, along with a strong
commitment to work with the wishes, desires and
rights of the prospective families. To this end this
should include a process of education and exploration
of issues inherent in the adoption process.

child can grow and be productive if we only
If you believe in the dignity and value of each child
as an individual, maximizing on the child's abilities
and strengths, you will work to develop each child to
their full potential. Necessary development can occur
only when quality training is made available to all
parties involved. This would include Government,
State, City, Local and Private agencies. Also
included are the prospective families and the
"children".
It is best to encourage a proactive
holistic approach to adoption and the placement
process, focusing on strengthening all parties
involved through pre- and post-placement involvement
and training. To endeavor to assure that each child
receive the quality of care and planning necessary
for the prospective family unit to reach the highest
level of functioning.
